Preparing for your plastic surgery, it is important to check your health conditions, health history, and medications. There are some instructions you need to follow before your surgery to maintain the best condition for your surgery day. Please see below guideline that you should follow preparing for your plastic surgery.



  1. Let any of your illness, allergy, and previous medical history to your doctor
  2. Let your doctor know if you are taking any medication
  3. Have general examination and check your condition
  4. Check your blood pressure with the doctor
  5. Take a clean shower before the surgery (please do not apply lotion)
  6. Wear comfortable clothes (button down shirt is ideal)
  7. Prepare sunglasses, hat, or mask on the day of the surgery
  8. Mentally prepare yourself
  9. Physically stay healthy



  1. Do not take any medication or supplements that accelerates blood circulation: aspirin, warfarin, clopidogrel, vitamin E, omega 3(fish oil), squalene, any types of vasodilator, and hormonal drugs for 2 weeks before the surgery
  2. Do not take herbal medicine, ginseng, and red ginseng extract for 2 weeks before the surgery
  3. Do not drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes or do drugs for 2 weeks before the surgery
  4. Try to avoid monthly menstruation on the day of the surgery (if not, prepare overnight pad)
  5. Do not wear jewelry (include earring, body piercings, necklace, bracelet, rings, watch etc), contacts, and dentures (artificial teeth) on the day of the surgery
  6. Do not wear makeup or apply body lotion on the day of the surgery
  7. Do not wear nail polish on the day of the surgery. Gel nails, manicures, and pedicures must be removed prior to your surgery
  8. Do not eat or drink anything (even water) 6 hours before the surgery
  9. If you are undergoing rhinoplasty and you frequently wear eyeglasses, please bring contact lens as you will have to avoid wearing eyeglasses for 1-2 months.
